In the electrifying world of rock ‘n’ roll, change is the only constant. Guns N’ Roses, the titans of hard rock, have announced the amicable departure of their longest-serving drummer, Frank Ferrer, after a monumental 19-year tenure.

Ferrer joined the Gunners’ ranks in 2006, stepping in during a turbulent period and solidifying the band’s rhythm section with his powerhouse drumming. His first performance was at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium, on June 24, 2006. Initially brought on as a temporary replacement for Bryan “Brain” Mantia, Ferrer’s undeniable prowess quickly earned him a permanent spot behind the kit. His beats became the backbone of the band’s relentless tours, including the legendary “Not in This Lifetime… Tour,” which saw the classic trio of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan reunite on stage.

Reflecting on his unexpected initiation into the band, Ferrer once remarked, “It was initially only going to be a temporary thing… But in my heart, I felt like, if I could really do well on this, even if it’s just for two weeks, then it could open … .”

The band’s official statement reads: “Guns N’ Roses announce the … … The band thanks Frank for his friendship … , and sturdy presence over the past … .” Ferrer’s final performance with the band took place on November 5, 202 … , in Mexico, marking the end of an era.

As Guns N’ Roses gear up for their upcoming “Because What You Want and What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things” world tour, the drum throne awaits its next occupant. The band has yet to announce Ferrer’s replacement, leaving fans in suspense about who will carry the torch forward.
