ENTOMBED RETURNS: THE UNDEAD KINGS OF DEATH ‘N’ ROLL RISE AGAIN!

The Swedish gods of death ‘n’ roll, Entombed, have finally clawed their way out of the grave and are working on new music—after 18 long years of silence. This isn’t just a reunion; it’s a resurrection. The band that defined an entire generation of chainsaw-toned death metal is back to claim its throne.

It’s been a chaotic ride for the Entombed name. After legal battles and lineup splits, the band fractured into Entombed A.D. (led by the late, great L-G Petrov) and what remained of the original legacy. But now, guitarist Alex Hellid, bassist Uffe Cederlund, and drummer Nicke Andersson are back together, and they’re promising fresh material for the first time since 2007’s Serpent Saints – The Ten Amendments.

Entombed didn’t just play death metal; they reinvented it. Their early albums, Left Hand Path (1990) and Clandestine (1991), are still held up as some of the most influential death metal albums of all time. Then came Wolverine Blues (1993), a groove-heavy beast that helped create the “death ‘n’ roll” subgenre—a punk-fueled, riff-laden monster that left the underground scene shaken.

With new music on the horizon, the question is: What will Entombed sound like in 2025? Will they return to the raw, crushing HM-2 fury of their early days? Or will they push the death ‘n’ roll formula into new territory? Whatever they unleash, one thing is certain—Entombed’s return is nothing short of monumental.

Stay tuned, because the kings of Swedish death metal are sharpening their riffs once again.
